Ford has announced a key update impacting the XLT and Lariat trims—specifically the 300A, 301A, 302A, and 500A packages. These configurations have traditionally come with a standard 18-inch chrome wheel. However, that wheel is being phased out and is currently marked as unavailable, with production changes set for Q3.

As of now, Ford has paused scheduling for any configurations that include the 18-inch chrome wheel. That means if your current order includes this wheel, it will not be scheduled for production. Dealers are strongly encouraged to amend existing orders to one of the available alternatives to ensure buildability and avoid delays.
What Are Your Options?
To move forward with production, you’ll need to switch to a different configuration or package:
XLT 300A: Unfortunately, there is no alternative available for this configuration with the 18-inch wheel. Customers will need to upgrade to 301A or 302A and use the options outlined below.
XLT 301A: Add the Black Appearance Package, which includes a 18" black painted wheel.

XLT 302A: can add the Black Appearance Package to receive the 18" black painted wheel or add the 20" Chrome Wheel as an option.

Lariat 500A: Switch to the 501A or 502A, which comes with a 20-inch chrome wheel.

Looking Ahead
Ford has stated that a new wheel replacement is coming, with more details and timing to be announced as they approach implementation. In the meantime, this temporary unavailability could impact order timing and delivery.
Dealers should communicate this update with customers and adjust orders accordingly to avoid scheduling issues. Stay tuned for official updates on the new wheel option expected later this year.
