The demand for the Ford Super Duty is so high that Ford can't produce enough. For the 2025 mode year Ford made some changes that might help with production. Let's look at all the new features and some of the changes as order banks open up today.
XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum are the available trim levels in 2025. Ford replaced the Limited with a Platinum Plus, a package available on the Platinum trim. The optional package available on the Platinum trim includes a satin finish grille with bright chrome inserts, Smoked Truffle interior with perforated Venetian Leather seats and French stitching. Also included is the Max Recline Seats that can be laid down to 180 degrees and the class-exclusive 2kW Pro Power Onboard giving you power on the go for power tools and other electronic equipment in the bed.
The new Platinum Plus will include a Platinum Plus Ownership Experience which includes a 20% discount on Ford accessories purchased in the first 3 months of ownership. Other benefits include a personalized gift, unlimited guided personal virtual tours to help with explaining features, one-on-one texting with product experts, and upgrade to Blue Tier status of the FordPass Rewards program.
The standard Platinum has changed with updated painted black grille and tailgate applique, and body color door handles. On the interior, you will see the new Black Onyx with Platinum Blue Accents.
The 6.8L V8 Gas Engine is now the standard engine for the XL, XLT, and Lariat F-250 and F-350 SRW configurations. The 7.3L V8 Gas Engine is now the standard engine on the King Ranch and Platinum and optional on the XL, XLT, and Lariat. The 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel and 6.7L High Output Power Stroke Diesel Engines are back as optional engine choices.
A major change to the popular Lariat trim is the switch from Leather Seats to ActiveX Seats. Some other changes are the removal of the Super Cab 148" Wheelbase, Super Cab Lariat, and Super Cab F-350 and F-450 DRW. Tailgate Down Camera that was a class-exclusive when the Super Duty was redesigned for the 2023 model year was also removed for 2025.
2025 Ford Super Duty will see new colors of Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat and Avalanche in place of the discontinued colors for Rapid Red Tinted Clearcoat and Iconic Silver. The 2025 Super Duty order banks will open up today with production starting early December for the Kentucky Truck Plant and mid January for the Ohio Assembly Plant.
