Ford has announced a key change affecting unscheduled orders of the 2025 Super Duty XLT—specifically those that include the standard 18-inch Sparkle Silver Painted Cast Aluminum wheel. If you're a dealer or customer with an order in the pipeline, here's what you need to know to avoid delays.

Standard Wheel Option Balanced Out Early

Ford has confirmed that the standard 18-inch Sparkle Silver wheel on the Super Duty XLT is going through an early balance out. In simple terms, this means that this wheel option is no longer available for new production.

What This Means for Unscheduled Orders

If you have a 2025 Super Duty XLT order that hasn’t been scheduled yet, and it includes this wheel, it will not be scheduled unless you update the configuration. To proceed, you’ll need to make one of the following changes:

  • Select the 18-inch Bright Machined and Carbonized Gray Painted Wheel (Option Code 64C)

  • Choose an alternate wheel option via a package like the Black Appearance Package or Tremor Package

Scheduled Orders Are Not Affected

If your order is already scheduled with the 18-inch Sparkle Silver wheels, you’re in the clear. This change only affects unscheduled orders, and Ford will not automatically update them. It’s up to dealers and customers to make the necessary changes.

How to Fix the “Balance Out” Message

If your order shows a “balance out” message, the fix is simple:

  • Replace the Sparkle Silver wheel with the 64C option or

  • Select a different appearance package that includes alternate wheels

Once updated, your order should be eligible for scheduling again.
